What Next?

Now that I've got a little time out from my film I can start thinking about my next project. For my next film I want to base it around the actors more. Because organizing a casting that actually yields a decent pool of actors is tough enough it pays to keep the cast to a minimum. Also, as far as ease of production goes, finding an actor that is keen and available to shoot is also a must. Because I wasn't 100% ruthless about finding out actors' availability in intimate detail I found myself unable to do all important rehearsals, thus adding to time on set getting the performance right. On top of this I want to make the locations much simpler and keep them indoors. Shooting outdoors is very hectic. What with wind, variable light and unwanted public attention, one will be able to shoot more footage and in a less stressed out manner if one is in the comfort of someone's house.

I had an idea that fits this premise quite well. What happens when a black man and a Neo Nazi meet on chatroulette? For those of you who don't know chatroulette is a website that connects you to a skype-esque video chat scenario with anyone from around the word at random. I.e two people who are predisposed to hate each other meet by chance in a very unnatural environment. This means that the bulk/all of the film can consist of shots of a chatroulette interface all shot indoors and with simple lighting. Firstly though I need to get to know the characters....
